    New Razer Lachesis

    Anyone see that yet?

Makes me glad I wasn't able to buy a mouse while at QC. Bought myself a Lycosa today, waiting till later this month to get this new beauty.

    • 5600dpi Razer Precision™ 3.5G laser sensor
    • Adjustable Multi-Color LED (Up to 16 million colors)
    • Variable true dpi setting adjustments in increments of 125dpi
    • 60KB Razer Synapse™ onboard memory
    • Nine independently programmable Hyperesponse™ buttons
    • 1000Hz Ultrapolling / 1ms response time
    • Tracking up to 200 inches per second
    • Seven-foot, lightweight, non-tangle cord
    • Approximate size: 129mm (length) x 71mm (width) x 40mm (height)/ 128 grams
    • Scroll wheel with 24 individual click positions
    • Zero-acoustic Ultraslick™ Teflon feet
    • Gold-plated USB connector
    • On-The-Fly Sensitivity™ adjustment
    • No Drift Control

From what I understand, each of the 3 areas (sides of the mouse wheel and the logo) are all seperately color changing as well, so 3 different colors at once.

Doesn't look to offer much more than the new Lachesis except only 100 more DPI, which really isn't much. The real selling point is just being able to change the grips and weight, both features I don't need or want and don't feel justifies $20 more.

And only 5 buttons (only two of which can possibly be macrod I bet). Lachesis always had 9, and it's ambidextrous, which I like because I am.

The color-shifting I can do without; the upgraded sensor though, is attractive. The 3.5G sensors have a redonkulous IPS rating.

How is the Lachesis to hold, is it low like a Boomslang/Diamondback, or more curvaceous like a Copperhead?

Definitely more like the Boomslang, but has some of both.

What will really sway my decision is if they have fixed some of the button issues from the last model, which is the thumb buttons were difficult to push and holding the mouse farther down near the waist made it difficult-ish to press the main mouse buttons.
