Woke up this morning... Logged on to my machine... and before it could get to desktop it black-screened on me. Totally locked up.

Well crap. So I reboot and I don't get a post screen. DOUBLE CRAP!

So I power down and power up again. Nothing. But just as I'm about to start disconnecting everything and haul that 150 pound beast into work with me... I hear the windows startup music. Remove one crap and go back to "well crap!"

I crawl under my desk and swap the dvi cable to my 4890 from the 4850x2 and there it is. 4850x2 is nowhere to be found in device manager.

Ok. Sapphire has a 2 year warranty on it's cards (and since they don't make that card any more it's likely I'll get a 5850 or something to replace it). RMA discussion initiated.

But now I'm torn. I really wanna switch to dual 460s. If I go snag me a 460, by the time I get the RMA I can sell those cards for more than enough for a second 460... I know what I WANT, but I'm interested in what YOU would do.

One last bit of info... the 4890 has been throttled back by the 4850x2 to basically running as a 4850... likewise, if I get a 5850 and crossfire it with the 4890, it'll basically throttle back to 4890 performance... So... dual 4890 for free... or drop about 200 bux for dual 460 (after selling the ATI cards). DRAMA!!!!

I am running dual GTX 460s and they are sweet. I highly recommend the setup as they are low on heat and power usage. See what you get out of the RMA before you make any decisions.
