Thread: Ps3 Problems....HELP

Okay, so my ps3 broke about 6 months ago. Out of the blue it stopped reading disc's and we found out it was because the disc's wernt spinning.. so.. we bought a new motor for the ps3.. we replaced it, and.. still nothing. So.. we researched it abit and found out that the lens could be dead.. infact it was the lens so we bought a new one and replaced it today.. we put it back together.. tested it to make sure it was working and it was... lone behold less than 2 mins later the new lens goes out.. wont spin disc's or read them anymore.. ANY IDEAS?

I agree with HeavyG, sounds like a short. by the time you trouble shoot it you will end up spending more on parts than what it would cost to buy a new one.
