Possible Upgrades
So I've been looking into the possibility of getting a new laptop.
I currently Have a 15" MacBookPro that's about 2.5 - 3 years old. I love this thing, but at the same time it still has a great resale value and would probably cover a large portion of the upgrade price to a new machine. Now I love Macs, but at the same time I feel like I might just prefer to move back into a windows environment. Now since I haven't bought a laptop in a while, I'm not really sure what the quality is like for a bunch of brands. I used to hate dell with a passion, but it seems to not be as suckyworthy as it used to be.
I found Get $230 off Dell Inspiron 14 Laptop, Free Shipping, Coupons, Codes, Holiday Deals, & Discounts. which is a few deals and the price seems pretty nice, and if I get the second one, I can upgrade the graphics and have a decent travel rig for gaming, instead of lugging my tower everywhere. The screen obviously isn't huge, but for a portable, I prefer the slightly smaller form factors.
Anyone else know of some good deals / have any ideas?
Edit: Can't upgrade the graphics (at least I didn't see the option) but I know there are deals somewhere.Last edited by Rawr; 12-30-10 at 02:21 PM.

Re: Possible Upgrades
Well after looking at the fact that the Dells wouldn't let me upgrade the graphics, and the fact that the dv6t had a super awesome $400 off and came with come killer parts, the only change I would make is add the 7200 rpm hard drive over the 5400 for 10 bucks. Lessen battery life, but not by enough.

Re: Possible Upgrades
There are certainly great gaming laptops out there...but they're not cheap. You'd be better off building a desktop.
P.S.
Another Mac user!!!
I have a 12" IBook G4...yeah, it's old but it does what I need it to do.
