Go to the doctor. We can throw out possibilities, but when it comes to your hands and feet, don't mess around. If it is something serious, you could cause irreversible damage if you wait to long to get it checked.

Oh, and getting an ergonomic keyboard is a good idea, but may not be necessary depending on your diagnosis. It may not have anything to do with ergonomics.

keep in mind that you are going from no gaming to a lot of gaming. Your body needs time to adjust. I am not a doctor but it seems reasonable that you should build up a tolerance over time. IE 8 hours of gaming in one day after not playing for a long time is going to aggravate things. That being said. When I plan on a serious day of gaming I take an ibuprofen, drink plenty of liquids. Make sure my chair is the proper height and use proper ergonomic setup. I have an n52 keypad for quake style games but use mostly a G15 keyboard and a G9 mouse. A mouse that fits your hand comfortably is a must for long duration gaming. I also get up once an hour and stretch. I do this even at work. I am not talking about just stretching my hands and cracking my knuckles. I am talking about getting up and moving, stretch like you are about to run a foot race. Your body gets stagnant sitting there for hours and toxins can build up in your muscles. Liquids and movement will help. Make sure your feet are flat on the ground and your knees are at 90 degrees. If you sit up too high or too low it can affect blood circulation to your legs. I could go on and on and on about this. Anyone that works in the IT field deals with these pains on a daily basis as part of our industry. Post more specifics and maybe I can tailor it more to your situation.
