Hand cramping. Need advise on possible new keyboard.
I have taken what seems like a year break from PC gaming. I picked up Monday Night Combat the other night and really enjoy the game. However after a couple rounds my keyboard hand really starts to cramp up and hurt. This has never happened in the past. I am a mechanic so my hands are my livelihood so I don't want to risk carpal tunnel.
Does anyone know if this cramping is just due to age (I'm only 24) or something else I am considering? Could a new keyboard help? Any suggestion on a good comfortable gaming one?
Any help is really appreciated.

You want one of these:
Newegg.com - Logitech G13 USB Advanced Gameboard
I have used a couple different ones now.....and this one is far and away the best. I had one of those N52 thingers, but they use Razor Drivers, and interfere with other controllers (joysticks ect.). The Logitech is comfy and highly customizable.....really a quality product. The arch it has will keep your hand from cramping.

Fad.....ergonomics is very important when you are sitting at yor desk. Keyboard, mouse, chair height etc play a major role in comfort. As flame said above a good chair with armrests goes a long way. (I used to be in the Office Furiture business). You also want to make sure you feet are flat on the ground with good back support and that your wrists are straight and not bent in an upwards position. You can google "ergonomics" and find a guide how to properly sit at a desk.

Thanks for the replies. My chair came with arm rests, but I never put them on. I'm not sure I still have them. I will try some of the other ergonomic practices and see if that helps. That pad does look comfy though.

I had all them pains in a real bad way. I now use a leather recliner thats got flat on top arm rests with a sturdy base mouse mat glued on top of the right arm then razor mat cut to same shape & glued on top of sturdy mat. Got a Logitech G13 on the left recliner arm = no more aches or pains even after all day in the chair i can fully recline & play too. i put the keyboard on my lap if i need it or slide it long ways on top of desk.

Ive had goodluck with Belkins Nostromo n52, but they are discontinued. Their replacement n52te is over priced with buggy software. Good thing I got 1 on Woot.com for 39 bucks(retails at 70$-CRAZY). Might find a cheap n52 on ebay.
