Unless you are going to be encoding/ripping video or doing some serious photo shop, you don't need an i7 or a Phenom 2 6 core CPU. You need to decide if you are building this rig for gaming or for watching You Tube videos. That AMD 6450 card is the cheapest brand named entry level card you can get from AMD at the moment. Your current GPU is likely better.
I am not saying you shouldn't get an i7 or Phenom 2 6 core CPU because they are not solid performers, but I am saying that getting these CPUs while throwing in an AMD 6450 graphics card will be a huge let down when you try to run any games. That card is designed to be one step above and integrated graphics card.
Either up your budget or consider a more affordable CPU so you can put your money where it REALLY matters for gamers... graphics.
Digital, you can't go into the BMW dealer expecting to buy a brand new 5 series with just enough cash to get you a used Hundai. With your budget, you need to meet somewhere in between.Last edited by HeavyG; 02-23-11 at 12:46 PM.

Uh, Digital. Norton AV won't protect you from shit. Either AVG or Avira will work much better, and they're free. I personally use Nod32, but the ones I mentioned are pretty good, too.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

AVG free is crap, I can tell you from experience. The paid version is OK, but not the free. Even *shudder* Norton is better protection wise.
If you want an Anti-Virus that is going to give good performance and some of the best protection, get Kaspersky. (it even has a "Gaming Mode")
