DNS server not responding?
To start both my laptop (wifi) and my desktop (Ethernet) have Win7. And neither connections work.
Last night my Internet was working perfectly fine. This afternoon I tried to get on to play the crysis demo, and I couldn't connect. I get off and on my taskbar there is a yellow sign saying no internet access.
I troubleshoot and it says DNS server is not responding. I've tried multiple different fixes to no avail (power cycling, changing Preferred DNS to 208.67.222.222 with alternate being 208.67.220.220 with no luck).
This is incredibly frustrating. Any solutions? I was going to play the crysis demo before work but it looks like that won't happen.

I can ping that DNS server you set yours to. I can also do lookups on it
C:\nslookup

> server 208.67.222.222
Default Server: resolver1.

Re: DNS server not responding?
unplug your router, reset your cable/dsl once its back up then plug in your router. Let it get a fresh connection. It's possible there is an outage with your provider and their DNS redirect server is down.
You could bypass them all together and use google's public DNS servers
Using Google Public DNS

I'm on break right now so I'll make this short and sweet, after 40 minutes in the phone with tech support it turns out its a "miswired circuit" so they will fix it tomorrow.
In slightly related news I get my Internet upgraded tomorrow as well.

I'm just going to wait a few hours until it comes back on. Also I fixed my shitty auto correct mistake in my reply.
I get upgraded Internet today as well.
It goes from "Up to 3Mbps" to "Up to 7.1 Mbps"
In the mean time I have anatomy homework I am going to do, followed by filling my tires with air.
