    ok so i reinstaled but now i cant remember how i got win7 not to look so ugly task bars to big and the icons in it its an ugly greying color the pop up box with my running programs seems a bit diff also

    yea video drivers, aero interface won't run on stock install drivers. If you had the PC connected to the net when you installed windows 7 it should have installed basic video drivers for you but getting the ones directly from the manufacturer are always better.

    yeah already updated all my stuff but my task bar looks larger then before and i cant find the setting that will make it smaller maybew its just from staring into a laptop running xp for all those hours but it just seems larger then before

    Do you have your taskbar icons set to small? That helps reduce it's size some and what I use on all my W7 machines. Although the Windows icon itself doesn't get any smaller, it doesn't bother me as much.

    yeah i dont know where to find the setting to make them small so not sure most things are set to defualt right now

    Right click on the taskbar -> Properties -> click the checkbox that says "Use small icons" near the top under "Appearance".

    nah task bart resized is enough i'm just searching the internet for a wall paper i had years ago of a jedi running a storm trooper thru from behinde was quite the bad ass pic but seems lost to the internets
