Unlocking locked cores: hindsight

I'm thinking of writing an article about my experience with unlocking cores on an Athlon II X3 processor. If I wrote about it what would you like to hear?

I was thinking of going into:

- How I unlocked
- problems
- solutions
- end game

Very simply maybe a few good paragraphs or sections detailing each of those. The thing is I don't know what the guys who didn't pee on the proverbial fence are wondering about unlocking cores.

I think the reason and end game is getting an extra core... So the only real thing *I*, at least, would be interested in is if there were any issues with it. Did it run hot because of it? Are there reports of faulty unlocked cores? Did you see any random crashes or anomalies because of the extra core? That kind of thing.

No no no, people want to hear about you opening the core and a portal to another dimension opened, or the CPU went redline, melted and liqufied your motherboard. That will get some attention.

The thing I'll tell you now is that yes, there are problems. Also, thank you for your input.

The portal only happened one and I didn't go in. I still don't know if I made the right choice.
