I don't know; I've been fiddling with the idea of getting a new watch, but I'm not sure what use one would be to me. Back when I used to go sailing and cliff diving all the time a watch was pretty useful as a phone would be impractical (hands full while sailing or underwater while diving). Now though, I can always have my phone on me.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

IMO a watch is more then a tool. It can be fashionable. Also when I was but a wee lad my parents gave me a watch as a symbol of responsibility. I plan to do the same when/if I ever have a son. And maybe daughter. I've always worn a watch and feel naked without it.

Bah, I do suppose that I need to be fashionable for women. Fucking oppositie sex. So the next question is: any recommendations? No gold--too weak. No Plastic--too weak.

I wear watches all the damn time. I feel naked without mine as well. I'm also kind of a watch whore, I have 5 for various reasons that I switch between, although I had more at one point....

Dakota makes some decent watches, simple and pretty damn tough.

Also a cheap timex is also a great buy as well, those things last for forever.

Just get one that syncs to your phone. Instead of pulling out your phone to see who is calling just look at your watch. I haven't worn a watch in years just because I am always working around high voltage and heavy equipment. I don't really want anything I can make contact with/get caught on. But when I did wear them, I wore a (At least I think this was the name) Ripcurl. It had tide tables for when I was surfing and diving/lobstering.
