Thread: Boost my signal !!!

So I play on a laptop , while i am at home i connect the ethernet cable to it, I got hi ping but i can play decently i guess, but if i dont have it connected my signal sucks where there should be good signal.
I was wondering if u guys know of some way i can boost it
i looked in new egg and i was lost

What type of router do you have?

move the router closer to you. Move you closer to the router. Buy a repeater and place it equal distance between you and the router.

Depending on the brand / model of router... you can install third party firmware on the router and boost the signal that way.

well its at work that i need a little boost
they have a wireless something i dont know what but they just put a little two antena thingy like 2 doors from where i sit at night i still only get like one or 2 bars, i was hopping there was something i could add to mine to catch a better signal.
that thing reads wireless N extender... well its not extending very good

If you have an antenna that sticks out of your laptop (like your wireless is via and add-in card), then you can use this:
DIY WIFI Antenna Reception Booster

It works much better if you coat one side of the parabola with tin foil.....

just place it over your antenna and aim it to where the other one is...
