I use tapatalk, from the phone it is great to keep up with things w/o having to take too long loading pages. I just get the things I've favorited, clan forums and business forums. Makes a quick check nice. But if I do want to browse the forums to do some trolling I can do that quickly too.

Lots of good recommendations at Android Central | Android Forums, News, and Help
Personally, I have been all over Gas Buddy lately. I also use aCar, DropBox, KeePass and a handful more. But that should get you started.

Re: Droid apps
I don't remember paying for the app, but I suppose I did at some point. Like the app a lot. The only thing I do wish, and maybe I'm just overlooking this feature, is being able to vote in polls. I can respond, but haven't figured out how to vote. Other than that, well worth the $2 or $3 for the app.
