Re: Lets talk Video Cards...
Alright to clarify "560".
That is the 560 GTX no Ti. The 560 Ti is $220+
As for the cards, the 6870 and 560 GTX is pretty much even. Either option would be a good. I like the 6870 just because of the longer run with drivers so the 6870's had the test of time. But the 560 GTX is a valid option too.
A cheaper route you may consider is 2x6850 or 2x550 Ti which would run about $260-$310
What is your resolution? And what games will you be playing more?

Re: Lets talk Video Cards...
Ohhh... Well then, consider waiting for BF3 to actually come out. The 5870'll do. My 5850 OC'd (Reaches past the 5870's stock performance) runs BC2 fine at max on 1680x1050. So I think you'll be fine until BF3 comes out.
BF3 still hasn't really told us anything about the graphical requirements. The only thing said was that a 580 was used to run the demo and that wasn't run on high. With that said, that's pretty crazy performance. I think waiting for the next gen GPUs (AMD 7xxx and Nvidia Kepler) would be a smarter choice.

Re: Lets talk Video Cards...
If your platform and PS support Crossfire you may just consider a second 5870. Honestly I bet the 5870 will run it well enough ... probably not maxed, but still plenty better than minimum ... I would hope.
Heh, just reread the OP ... I would just say roll with the 5870 (an anomalously powerful card when it was introduced). It will handle BF3 well enough until you can get a second one or a whole new yet next generation...Last edited by SapiensErus; 07-28-11 at 11:12 PM.
