Headsets, Soundcards and USB
So. I am currently using a SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium PCI-E sound card with a Triton 5.1 Surround headset. I bought the headset because it was surround but also did so via 3.5mm jacks, to take advantage of the X-Fi.
I play Call of Duty: Black Ops, World of Warcraft, Crysis, TF2 to name a few. Some of those games I believe have sound worthy of the X-Fi card, but I am getting tired of the cables of my headset.
So I have been looking at a couple headsets from Logitech which are wireless. One of them is the G930.
The disadvantage of this switch is I lose the use and purpose of the X-Fi and most likely would just remove it. I don't listen to music or use my computer without my headset on 90% of the time.
The advantage: More space between my video card and the rest of my case (ever notice PCI-E sound cards sit right up against video cards?), no wires.
Question: Am I going to notice a huge difference in sound quality? Do I just put up with the cables because the sound is superior?
I would appreciate opinions.

I'd probably notice a sound quality difference but the vast majority of people wouldn't. Sound is very subjective.
I have an essence stx at home with some moderate audiophile headphones (grado sr225, iirc) and notice a huge difference in sound quality between that and anyone else's setup. I have had others listen to mine and they don't hear any difference between that and their plantronics headset connected to integrated audio.
That being said, wireless is real convenient. If you don't listen to music or movies on your headset, chances are even lower that you will notice a quality drop.
