    Blue jean cables is another good place to order wires and cables from. Not as cheap as monoprice, but their stuff is a step above in quality. I'd prefer to use them for any analog wire.

    Order speaker wire? Go to the hardware store. Any decent store will have a spools of two-conductor copper wire in a variety of gauges. You can buy it by the foot.

    One thing to look for: a stripe or mark along one of the conductors. That'll help you hook the speakers up in-phase.

    I've ordered from them before. I like their style. Great articles on the basic science and engineering of cables in an audio/video environment, and how that plays into the market for cables where most people aren't scientists or engineers.

    I just ordered a new yamaha receiver. 7.2 with all the fancy stuff. Now I just gotta figure out what to do with the old one...
