09-05-11, 11:40 AM #1Printer Networking Problem
A few days ago, I set up my dad's new computer (Windows 7) to replace his 12 year old one. Part of that was setting up a network so other computers on it could print to a USB printer on the network connected by USB to my Dad's PC.
The printer is currently setup to be shared on the network, and the printer icon displays as sharing enabled. However, when my Mom goes to print from her laptop (Vista), it acts like the printer isn't shared. I have to manually go onto the network from my Mom's laptop and connect to the printer (Network>Dad's Computer>Printer>Connect).
I didn't have this problem on my Dad's old computer (XP). I also cannot test with my laptop as it is currently dead.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. All drivers are up to date.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

I'm going to chalk it up to Vista being a little bitch. My mom accidentally removed the printer from her laptop, so I re-added it. That seems to have fixed it. Oh well.
On a related note, the i3 in my dad's PC is pretty bitchin. It's not one of the new Sandy Bridge ones, but it flies pretty fast.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
