It was working fine on the 275.33 Nvidia drivers, but like an idiot I decided to try some newer drivers, and it was a bad idea. Didn't have time to mess with it yesterday, and probably won't today, but should be back on the old drivers, and stable, tomorrow.

So frustrated right now. The system will startup, and run for a while, then with no warning will just shut down. No blue screen, no error messages, no nothing. Then it won't power back on for about 10 minutes or so. After 10 minutes it fires right up, runs fine for a while, then repeats the process. At first I thought maybe something was overheating, but I have monitored both CPU and GPU temps and nothing is out of range that I can tell. Kanati suggested maybe a bad PSU, so I swapped it out at MC, and it ran great for about an hour or so, then did the same thing. I am at a total loss. Any suggestions?

Friday night I was on the 275.33 driver, and played CS:S for a couple hours. After playing I ran 3DMark, and it said to update the drivers for better results, so I did. I also installed F@H, and was going to let it run all night. Woke up Saturday morning and the computer was off. Thought maybe I forgot to turn off the sleep settings, but when I turned the computer back on it said it didn't shut down correctly. I thought the issue was the new drivers as many people had posted that the card has issues with the newer drivers. I didn't have much time to mess with it Saturday or Sunday, but today I have been messing with it, and it is still giving me fits.

Re: Components question
Could be anything ... make sure all your drivers are up to date... after the release of BC2 my creative driver kept crashing my system... took me forever to figure it out.
Windows will automatically install software that may not be the most up to date in some cases, so for as many devices as you can go to the manufacturers website and get the very latest drivers.
Run memtest86 to check your memory.
Remove all unneccessary parts and then test, then add then test, etc. So start with one stick of RAM, if it remains stable put in another, etc. Try this with all the devices you can (sound card, optical drives, DIMMs, etc.
Also, try to use the event viewer under "my computer"->"manage" and look up the most recent critical errors.
Google "event viewer" for more details...
