Need help with tower!

I turned on my tower and all the lights turned on. but the monitor won't turn on..

any ideas on what i should do?

Everything is plugged in but the monitor wont click on...

im using the VGA cable..i using an HP monitor. no DVI cable.
but i plugged the VGA into my laptop and the monitor clicked on

Have you checked to make sure all needed power connections are properly connected?

yes. there all connected.i put everything. in the right place. i just took it all apart and put it back together

Have you tried using a different VGA cable? Have you tried a different monitor?

Try re-seating your video card(take it out of the mobo, put it back in), then try the monitor. If you've tested the monitor on another comp and it works as well as the cable then its most likely your video card. I sort of had the same problem with an 8800GTS, it was slowly dying though but re-seating it helped a few times.
