Ah, I didn't think of pouncing when I saw pouncing. My bad dawg, my bad! T-Pain.
When I started I shotgunned them off. Not good on Expert. But I find if you have the trigger finger and the intelligence, it's actually much more effective to shoot them the hell off!
But meleeing pouncing hunters is fun.

Yeah! You may some points there, and playing with the 'newbies' is what I do all the time, and sometimes I lose my patience with them. However, one finds one is not always playing with newbies, but with a mis-match of different playing styles that often doesn't suit one's own style.
I've noticed that there 'seems' to be two types of player...altruistic and indifferent. I was very altruistic in my gameplay, and to some extent, L4D requires some altruism shared between the team, but often, some players remain stuck in the FPS lone player mode, and no matter of gentle or harsh wording guides them into altruism mode. They go about like Rambo, and I leave it to them, let them get pounced or smoked, and through these mistakes and errors, one hopes they will adjust their gameplay.
When it comes to FF, I used to make some remark, but now I just turn my character around and glare right into their face, gameplay etiquette states one should offer an apology at the earliest opportunity, or make amends by giving health.
And for the love of all things bright and beautiful, will players please not use fire around team mates...I turn psychopathic when it happens, I really hate it, and I'm quite happy to turn my shotty on you if you set me alight...even if your intentions are good. Just don't do it! Use the molly with some thought and application. Ta! In anticipation of your understanding!
