Achievement frustrations

Yup.

Man vs tank is pretty much impossible to get in multiplayer games, and forget about it with bots. Console commands ftw

There are some strange things with achievements in multiplayer, because in campaigns, sometimes you load slow on a level and miss a second of action, and you get disqualified for campaign-long achievements. Not sure if all problems are linked to loading issues, sometimes it seems random that some people will get an achievement while others don't.

Argh, I nearly dumped my girlfriend last night. She's brand new to the game, and I was helping her through No Mercy with a couple of other newbs. We made it to the fourth safehouse, and were waiting for the token straggler to make it, when he was vomited on by a boomer. At the same time, he was pounced by a hunter. He was getting his ass kicked.
Quick as a flash I saw my chance to get the 'Back 2 Help' achievement, sprung out of the door, nailed the hunter with a headshot and fought my way over to help him up. Too slow. My loving girlfriend suckerpunched me by shooting through the wooden bars to get to him first, helped him up and escorted him back to the safehouse, getting the achievement in place of me. She's played the game twice before up to that point. I don't mind telling you I wept like a baby.

I did that but with bill taking it.So, I Turned off my X-Box and broke my Mic. Happy now that i got my lamb 2 slaughter achievement by killing him today.

TBH akimbo ain't that hard IF you're playing with friends you can rely on like: ''Hey guys, I'm going for the Akimbo Challenge so I hope you don't mind I stay a bit in the back but I surely will help'' etc etc...

Tank vs Man, however, is nearly impossible to achieve in multiplayer or singleplayer WITH bots. For the cowards who go ''oi let's do z_tank_health 1'', well, go on, but I prefer a challenge! ''z_tank_health 10000'' ftw!

Well play Single player easy mode, you'll be able to get both Akimbo and ManvsTank. That's how i got mine.^^;

I got Man VS Tank by spawning a tank on the map I'm making. Since the map has no nav points yet, the tank spawned half in a wall so I could easily set him on fire and watch calmly.

Yes. I used pipe bombs, molotovs and even shot jerrycans and gas canisters to burn/blast zombies who come to us during the finale.
Just don't pick up a primary weapon and never use the Gattlings.

Also, I noticed that when you play online, there is a chance you'll miss the achievement even if you did it all right. That's because, as was said earlier, sometimes you're still connecting while others are already in game. Even if it's only for 1 second, the game will see it as if you didn't do the whole campaign yourself and thus cancel your achievement.
My advice is to do what I did today to get it: play a Single Player game with only pistols and it'll work.

I'd also like to have Man VS Tank but even though I ask 10 times not to shoot anything at the Tank, someone still screws up by shooting it. So I guess it's better to ask people on my friends list to play a campaign with me because from them at least I know they won't shoot the tank and let me burn his ass if I ask so.

On Akimbo Assassin, I didnt pick up a main weapon or any molotovs the entire time just to be safe, and didnt shoot any propane tanks or gas cans just in case. After doing htat i got it.
But for the Man vs Tank, there is an easy way to do it in singleplayer. You start death toll on expert on thefinal level. Then you kill ur teammates and call a vote to change it to normal. if u vote it to easy the tank might not spawn. Grab some pills from the kitchen and walk outside and kill the tank.
