Thread: disappearing guns

hello.

i had an idea for a mod that would put emphasis on teamwork and stratagy. im not sure how complicated it would be to implement, but it seems like a relatively simple change that could be run server side.

my idea is to have guns disappear from the map after someone takes it, like a molotov rather than letting everyone grab it like a pistol. that way people have to discuss which weapon they want to use and which they are more comfortable with. it would also increase the emphasis of keeping people alive in order to keep weapons and increase communication about finding second pistols.

would something like this be possible? if it is and someone could make the changes, i'd consider hosting a server with the changes.

Sounds like a good idea for a mod, would be interesting to experiment with. Also i would like to throw the idea in of having weapons spawn randomly like molotovs do instead of all ways together on tables.

yeah i had thought about that and like that idea too, but i thought that might be too difficult to program in. i have no expierence with modding, so i'm not sure how difficult it would be to add something like that.

another thing i forgot to mention in the OP, when people come out of closets i would want them to pop with just a pistol, further emphasizing the importance of keeping people alive (and giving people practice with pistols lol)
