Thread: Mario-like kills possible?

I was playing through a campaign on Death Toll the other day. When you get to the Piney house (you know the three story house up on posts like it's prepared for a flood... in the middle of the woods.) I normally jump off the front porch when I've finished plundering it for items. Well, this particular time, by complete blind luck, I landed on a regular infected just standing there oblivious to our whereabouts. (You can tell you've landed on someone because the jump animation hiccups for a second, like it does for hunters sometimes when you don't quite pounce the survivor right.) To my surprise, the regular infected died after I jumped on his head. I don't know if one of my comrades had shot him just as I had landed on him (doubt it.) but as far as I could tell, by jumping on his head, I effectively killed him goomba style.
I haven't tried to re-create this effect yet, because other than its humor value (I laughed my ass off) its relatively a worthless way to kill infected, ecspecially on any difficulty above normal. I was just curious if anyone else has seen this happen.

This is actually a pretty common occurrence, but I think most players overlook it because it gets lost in the chaos of zombie gun battles.

If a Common Infected is laying on the ground, unaware of your presence, and you walk over them, they will die.

Also, if you land on top of their head for any reason, they die.

If you're not in the air in 15 seconds, he dies.
