Thread: Different "Levels" for Achievements

I find achievements to be fun to get but I find I've run out of them. I was thinking it would be nice to have achievements have 4 different levels (where applicable) based on the difficulty of the game. So you could get Man vs Tank (Easy) and Man vs Tank (Normal) etc etc. Some would be nigh on impossible to get in Expert mode, but that's fine by me.

It would also be nice if the achievements based on numbers (genocidist, redmist, etc) had more levels based on how many you kill. Red Mist Level 2 would be 2000 killed, Level 3 would be 3000 (OR 6000!??)

Not exactly a pressing matter for the Valve team but it would be nice.

I like this idea, although as you said, it would be hard/impossible to do some achievements on expert.

This idea is good how ever if they did levels there would just be too many achievements and most would just give up on getting them all :P

Valve has done well with just keeping the achievements nice and steady...

They'll prob update the achievements when the DLC comes outs

Well to be fair your idea is already in the game. It is controlled by the player

All u have to do to implement your idea is not complete any acheivements on easy and do them all in versus and expert. Thats what alot of people do including myself.

I dont really see the point is any acheivements for easy or why people complete most of there acheivements on easy.

Is there anyway to reset your Achievements so that you can try get them all again on expert instead? or do u require a new steam ID?

I am never going to get man vs Tank or all 4 dead, I am at about 33,000 kills so far so I will probably see the genocidist achievement before the tank ones.
other than that I have all the achievements, they were very hard to get some of them.

I had to do blood harvest 14 times.

i've only got 44 out of the 51 (on pc)

but that does sound good

you would be a more respected player

Sure you will man vs tank is quite easy. Just ask 3 friends to do a co-op expert campaign with you and make sure you have a molotov.

Ask your friends to just run back and not shoot. When tank spawns Set him on fire and run back with the others. The tank will die from fire and nothing else its really easy.

Do you play on PC horrorchick or xbox? Me and my friends can help you get Man vs tank if you play the PC version.

All 4 dead is just complete luck and lack of skill on the survivors behalf. It's easiest to get on no mercy 1. You just have to hope the survivors move into the alleyway so you can bash a car into them.

If they dont have a molotov you can wait outside in the alley and throw rocks and hit normal infected to keep control. Survivors will get inpatient and just run outside in most cases where you and the car should be waiting

I still still can't get Jump Shot. But I have most of the others.

Good place for that is DT3 - Church. Run out into the train yard and clear the entire area with the bots and find the tier2 weapons and kill the bots.

Then take a hunting rifle and go stand in the big open area. And just wait for a hunter to come - Bot hunters ussualy crouch and slowly crawl towards you then leap directly at you when they get into range when that happens just shoot at it in the air and u should get the acheivement. It may take a couple of tries but fairly easy.

Just need quick reactions when a smoker comes so u can kill him fast thats about it.
