AoE Tank punch win situations.

Today i played a versus game on NM and it was a very even game both teams were on 2300 and 2200 points NM finale.

We get infected first and a tank spawns and i get it. I wait at the end of the hall and watch them waste mollies then start running towards them.

One guy on there team starts shouting in all chat "omg get back u idiots come here" "Newbs listen to me ffs" "follow me quickly" "NOW"

To my surprise when i get to the staircase all 4 survivors are under it crouched in the corner i jumped off the stairs landing into a crouch position and start sliding under the stairs and my health drops really fast and just before i die i got off an aoe punch on all 4 of them repeatidly untill they were all incapped.

Then the 3 other survivors start spamming the shouting guy that hes an idiot and his tactic was fail it was hillarious

Heh, yeah I went into a quick match last night and the survivors went into the beginning vents on NM2 to fight the tank. After they got incapped I typed Vents are no good now and the other team was like, Oh, now you tell us. Funny.

AoE = Area of effect.
He means he did a punch and instead of just one person hit, it hurts everyone in the area.
FFS = For fuck sake

but its from this

FFS is like WTF... its just shorthand.

What would you call it? I've always called the Hunter claw AoE also.

AoE did not originate from wow what is it with gamers these days everything seems to originate from wow wiki :S

AoE should have been used and it did not come from WoW. Its been used to describe attacks that effect an area in games since i started gaming which was like 1994 and probaly originated hundreds of years ago.

Not everything comes from wow if anything atall. Most of the stuff wowwikki says is actually from everquest and everquest got it from ultima and so on and so forth.

They dont even know WTF AoE means...

If they have played the game, they would know what the attack is like...
You shouldnt need to explain it.
It hits anything infront of you.
Its not that hard to explain im my opinion
