I don't know about more guns for a secondary really because like someone else said there isn't really much point as far as gameplay is concerned.
But you could always just go find some pistol skins. I don't know how many mods there are for this game but skinning is one of the easiest mods you can do. You could make them gold, black, revolvers, bananas, invisible..you name it. You could actually just replace the pistol texture file with the assault rifle texture and have an assault pistol lol. I am sure once you picked up the 2nd pistol L4D would just crash but still..lol
So since the pistols in L4D are so damn useful I would just try to find some skins for them. Although melee weapons would actually be a pretty sweet secondary weap.

Someone should just make offical threads for new weapons and new speical infected ideas. I see like 3 or four new ones everytime I come onto this fourm.
Really though..I think they should just give us the option to upgrade our weapons temporally. So the more infected/special infected you shoot and kill or how many times you help out your teammates you get points to upgrade your weapon. So you can upgrade the damage, firing rate, accuracy, reload time, clip size, etc.
I just don't see how adding new weapons would make much of a difference and still be balanced out.Xbox Live: RedDragoon23

I think Melee with weapons should be tottaly removed.
And in its place a Hunting knife/Combat knife should be taken out.
I.E when you press melee survivor puts his gun away takes out knife and swings. It will stop melee/reload/fire spam.
its alot more realistic. And instead of meleeing survivors when a smoker grabs them, The only way to save them should be to kill the smoker or cut the tongue with the knife.

I love the idea of new weapons and new boss infected, but maintaining game balance is a very tricky proposition. Everytime you add new game mechanics, you mess with balance. Same with weapons. Adding new weapons that are useful but not more powerful than the existing stuff is extremely hard to do. That would be my guess as to why you arent seeing them with this update, even though it had been discussed by the dev team.

I want, instead of a second pistol, to be able to get a stock for a single pistol that make it extremely accurate, even when moving. It would be useful to pick off SI from long range or freeing a teammate from a smoker without having to spend the time to run all the way there.
