Left 4 dead on the go

Other than the Qosmio, what kind of gaming laptops would you guys recommend for playing l4d. And what kind of specs do you need in a laptop to play it. Money is no object, within reason I don't want to go bankrupt.

If money is no object then get a real gaming rig and get a laptop for things other than gaming. But if you insist on being stubborn I recommend the Asus W90. A buddy of mine got one and I was blown away, came close to the graphics of his GTX280 desktop, not quite the same fluidity but for the price and specs its good.

if it has multiple cores do all of those cores contribute to the overall processing speed. like if it has 4 cores and 2ghz per core does that mean it has an overall processing of 8ghz

Not at all. They work independently in order to multitask more efficiently and take the load off a single core.

    I could actually run L4D on a Dell Studio 15 (1537):

    Intel T6400 Core 2 Duo @ 2.0 Ghz
    3 GB DDR2 800 Mhz RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 (256 MB)
    Vista Ultimate 32-bit

Runs good with everything on low.
