Not yet there is a topic on the Steam Forums about it tho,
And razman360 I think depending on how much effort you want to put into this it will prob be harder then easier for you to create stuff.
Maps can be made cheap and easy but are tacky unless you put time into the architecture.

Why not just use untextured walls and floors like in TF2's Orange Maps. I've made a few maps based off current maps but they all turn out like Fort Builder bases >.>

Valve has released a beta version of their authoring tools for Left 4 Dead. The tools will allow you to "create your own campaign maps, character skins, 3D models, sound effects, and music and load them into the game." The kit includes a level editor and command-line compiling utilities, as well as example maps, props, infected, and explosives. It also brings plugins for a 3D modeling program called SketchUp. Valve has updated their development wiki to go along with the release.

Damn, I actually wish I had a decent PC now.

Then again, can you choose if you want to play customs or originals only, or are customs not available for online play? I would hate for it too turn into CS, where by the time you've finished downloading one custom version of de_dust the game has finished and you need to get another.

Hmm, I was just making ''My first LFD2 map'' and when I pressed F9 (Run map) and press ok a black window appears for a split second and then nothing happens, does anyone know what might be causing that?
