something to do in versus with friends
well, we all know if you start a public versus game with your friends vs 4 random people it will normally be a boring, easy win. well me and some friends found something fun to do. of course you will need a team of 4 people to do this. there's 2 ways of playing
Free for all
the team finds a "base" as close to the starting safe room as possible, this would be something like the freezer on DA2, or a room where the SI have a hard time getting you in. have everyone go in there, then decide who goes first. the person who goes first will then try to get to the end of the level by themselves while the other 3 wait in the "base." once that person either dies or makes it to the end the next person goes, alone, the aim of the game is to see who can make it the furthest. then after your team is done, try to stop the other team before they pass your score for added fun, since they will probably be playing normally
2v2
this is the same as the free for all game only instead of going alone you go in teams of 2, it's a little easier but it plays by the same rules.
Rules
1. if someone is pinned outside the "base" you are allowed (and should) save them, but only if you can save them without leaving the "base"
2. the person/team that made it the furthest last round goes first.
3. be nice, if you are above 50 health, don't take the medkits/pills, save them for the people who are going next,
4. don't purposely waste all the pipebombs/molotovs if you need them, use them, but don't use them on nothing.
5. work as a team until everyone gets into the "base", try not to let your teammates take any damage (so it's fair.)
6. it is ok to leave the base if a tank starts getting close to it (you as a team decide how close it gets before you leave), and it's ok to kill it as a team if it hits (or tries to hit) the people who are waiting for their turn.
the only rules you really have to worry about are 1,2, and 6 the other 3 can be summed up by saying "play fair"
now this game doesn't really work on the finale (unless it's on death toll) so my team normally just plays seriously on the finale to see if we can still win the game, but it's up the team to figure out what they are going to do for the finale.
now this obviously won't work against a good team, but it's fun to play in a public game when they are not coordinated, we've only had 1 person survive a chapter so far in free for all, and one team survive in 2v2 so don't expect to actually make it to the end.
after a round or 2 the other team starts to catch on to what you're doing, so be careful, in most of our games they actually started working together near the end. but on the bright side, me and 3 friends where able to play 3 full campaigns without everyone quitting, we won 2/3 of them and it was funbuild a man a fire and he will be warm for the night,
set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

When we're infected and slaughtering them - my friends and I usually go for a game of hunter tag, and it's usually a blast. We just have to worry at the end when they seem like they might make it. Even though once, no joke - no one was attacking the team and they still managed to die, we yet to his day have no idea how.
