How To get CC Achievments without System Linking.

I have found out that YOU CAN get achievements while playing L4D online.

Start a game with your friend and try to find a dedicated server. If you go from "Looking for dedicated server" straight to the game, vote to return to the lobby. Keep trying till the game says "Starting game in 5 seconds." and counts down. This will put you on the host's local server, and make all CC achievements unlockable. Sorry if this is old news, but I havent seen this yet online.

the servers(from what i belive) are what casue the bugs, putting on host instead of DS's removes the srouce of the bug, or should according to him. I'll try it out, thanks!

Like SushiMooshi just said, the Dedicated Servers are the ones that are glitched. If you play on a local server, its essentally like your playing a worldwide system link game. The main downside is that it will be lag city, and there is a frequent chance to lag out, but if you get some friend together to get the achievements, you should ge tthem no problems.

I found that you can get most of these achievements if you play splitscreen. For instance, for the 25 point pounce I made 2nd player run to where you have to jump down to go under the bridge on tjhe first level. Then i would kill myself (as infected) until i was a hunter and go for the pounce until i got it. Took me two tries.

See but thats also covered under "System Linking" and its almost impossible to get "Slippery Pull"

yeah, you need at least 3 people for that.

Which is a lot easier if you follow the instructions above, and grab some of your friends, or even get lucky finding an achievements group while your pubbin.
