Survivor or Infected?

Infected. I fI wanted to be survivors, I would just play campaign.

Infected, its more fun killing the survivors, and i think playing as a survivor causes me to get REALLY paranoid

The POINT of versus is to be able to play as the infected. Playing as survivors is fun, but it really doesn't make a difference playing as them in single player or versus.

Infected vs a good team.

Survivors vs a shitty team.

It's fun to quad a good team right outside the safe room, but when one person rambos it while the other 3 aren't moving... it's retarded. Especially when that happens EVERY map as the infected.

I know this was posted in April. But does anyone else hate people with this attitude.

Especially when being 'bored' of survivors means at total lack of any effort as survivors. And usually they just got the game a few days ago, or rented it.

I find people that love to play as survivors are the ones that do 10X better as Special Infected.

I agree. I hate how a lot of players only want to play infected. I'd rather be a survivor anytime myself. The only thing I like about being infected is that you can explore parts of the map survivors can't reach. And you can get a 20-second break in versus mode between spawns.

Im one of the few people that dread my SI turn. However, it IS very satisfying to absolutely PWN the survivors in a well placed attack. You look around while pinning your survivor and you see the carnage you and your team have concocted. You got another guy pinned by a Hunter, another by a Smoker, and one guy Boomed on that is struggling to fight the horde and he goes down.

I think the appeal people find in playing the Infected is the fact that you get to see things from the perspective of the antagonist.

There aren't alot, if any, zombie-themed games out there that let you play as the zombies. And let's be honest, every human has a strong curiosity in the unknown, playing AS the Infected instead of being the Survivors for probably the first time in history has become one of the main draws for Left 4 Dead.

That said, I too like to play the Infected more then the Survivors. Play any zombie game and you'll almost certainly be plopped into the shoes of a gun-toting human who's objective is going to be to take down every undead brain chomper they come across, so I knew what to expect with the Survivors. I didn't as the Infected, so when I found out, I loved it.

The infected.
1. When you're a survivor, you're horribly outnumbered. With players respawning like hell, it's literally impossible to actually FINISH the campaign.
2. Many more gameplay styles than just shooting.
