L4D2 Server connecting error

hi,

i keep getting this error:

Connecting to public(89.142.256.91:27015)
Sending UDP connect to public IP 89.142.256.91:27015
Invalid protocol, expecting 2022, got 2021

when i try to connect to my server

im running sourcemod, metamod, kac beta anti cheat, rcon lock, webshortcuts, sourcebans.

same as me last night my server was up and this morning im getting the same message,i cant even connect through sv_search_key or when i type connect IP

any help anyone

?

Usually in Valve games, when you get a protocol error, it means that the server and the client machines are not on the same version of the game. I used to see that a lot with the Half Life 2 servers. Make sure that the server has the most recent updates on it. Are you running it via sourceds, or via Steam? If you use Steam, it should automatically update itself.

srcds, did the updating work for you? i am going to update mine but i just got the files yesturday. Maybe i need an update??

Dedicated or Listen Servers

* TCP 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)

i use a dedicated server, and have 27015 open, i was told that is fine
