Angry Should have the option to play all modes offline

Seriously when you get really far on expert realism mode and then you disconnect its really annoying , but what I don't get is why you can't play it off line, and survival it would be good to not have to be online to play that too.

    What do you think?

Select game mode -> Select play with friends -> Press X button to open your own lobby -> Start the game and play offline.

Be sure to make it Private, unless you want to bring your buddies in.

You both realize making it friends only/private won't help OP with his disconnection issues, right?

I think there is an option for system link games, yes? That is what will keep you from getting disconnected, I think.

It always annoyed me I couldn't play mutations/realism by myself and be able to pause the game (that is hosted on my xbox/my connection and not an official server).

You can play every game mode offline, it is called system link mode. The only difference between system link games and single player modes is the fact that you can't pause.

Do you guys not have LAN parties or something? I thought everyone knew this.

I only suggested going through the "play with friends" menu because that is the only way I know of to open your own lobby in L4D2. In L4D1 you can simply press the X button at the main menu and open your own lobby.

If your not connected to Xbox live "System link" is the only option you can choose. If your connected to live you can still select system link mode but it isn't the default selection IIRC.

I've been having the disconnect issues alot with expert campaigns. I started playing "local" games instead and haven't been disconnected since and we beat alot of expert camps so far. Try local.

i found this out i while back its pretty simple

    select game type
    play with friends
    start game

this however doesnt work with versus unless your playing split screen
    scavenge works but not well
realism is probably the best but its real hard alone
no online play and its still loads of fun

ever think of how bad tv is now? i do

Its quite easy on the xbox to pay realism and survival offline. Just go to whatever it is you wanna play and go to play with freinds. Then press X, then choose the dfficulty, map, character as you normally would then start game. I do it all the time.
