On top of that, that reasoning does not take into account the double boomer, you boom, get away and respawn, and jump back in and sacrifice on them 15 seconds later.

There is also a school of thought you should spit then kill yourself. I don't buy into that either. There are times when a good player can be very effective, and very annoying with a spitter. On the opposite end of the spectrum, on offense, I've often intentionally let a spitter live.

It's situational, contingent on map, player and teammates, for both the spitter and boomer in my opinion.
If you don't die with your team, then that means you won't respawn with your team. If you die while trying to respawn, or right before they spawn in..you've just wasted atleast 1 if not 2 fully-coordinated attacks. Hence why they say you should just sacrifice yourself, and inflict as much damage as possible with that life.

I like to stay alive after the boom, also, but only for like 3 seconds, so I can boom, then charge the survivors who aren't boomed on yet/play intercept for any of my team mates.

I follow you. I just don't believe it as a rule. And I also think if someone is feeling hot with the boomer they should be all means try to keep him and keep landing.

Also, if I have a boomer and nobody on my team is ready to go but I can just jump in and get a 4 piece, I'll do it every time.

    For sure.

This is what I do as well. Sometimes I camp people that are hunted/smoked but aren't yet purple, I usually always go after the guy that's already incapped because there is the possibility that I can free one of the hunters to get the guy that's still standing.

Sometimes I block for the rest of my team by doing something like chasing a guy down a hallway. On some maps there are key places where you can camp a boomer and pull of instant kills or at the very least, be a road block (ladders are really fun).

The one thing I make sure not to do: Get popped near zombies.

Waiting around for another round of puking is usually not a good idea. In some situations it is useful, but that's pretty rare.

Go back for my teammates. I've been abandoned about 85% of the time, especially with pubs.

One thing I do that I think alot of people dont pick up on is hold left trigger when Im incapped you shoot amillion times faster and there is no recoil killing SI with a magnum when incapped is super easy with this trick.

I hardly see anyone do it, but almost all the time, with a pump shotgun or chrome shotgun, I'll melee after every fired blast, mainly because I always have commons that ignore the blast r.r

Nonsense Jay, I do it all the time. Most experienced players melee after every shot to a common or horde or specials.

In my opinion, Boomers are the most dangerous Infected when used correctly. I play tons of Team Versus games with my friends and Boomers are CRUCIAL. We've gotten our asses handed to us thanks to Boomers. Quick scenario:

    Parish 2:

    Infected:
    Boomer
    Hunter
    Smoker
    Spitter

Both teams made it to the first saferoom, but they were beating us by damage. Mind you, this was a really offensive team. The "kill the entire infected team and book it for 30 seconds" kind of guys, I'm sure 2 if not all of them were using Turtle Beaches.

So we decide to hit them right outside of the saferoom. Nick is trying to bait us, but my team and I know better than to spawn right away. I only spawn if I'm about to attack. So, Nick runs out, our Smoker is crouched behind that wrecked car to the right. Nick gets smoked and I spawn as a Boomer above them on that balcony, jump down and boom the entire team when they go to save. Luckily I popped before our Hunter landed on Rochelle and oru Spitter focused its spit on Nick. Hunters do enough damage as it is, so any help the Smoker could get was crucial.

After that huge attack, 3 health kits were gone but they recovered an extra at the Humvee. We killed them when they activated the alarm, they left that trailer with 2 people black and white, and one set of pills. They got cocky and didn't take those 2 medkits you always find.

So, long story short, I agree with saving Boomers as long as you can. As long as you can capitalize correctly and right away after they're all blind, you'll do a scary amount of damage.

it's a bad habit to get into doing that too often, because in versus games you will run into fatigue easily. It's actually one of the reasons I started using automatics more. Completely killed the habit, plus I don't like how an emptied shotgun leaves you vulnerable for much longer than it takes to reload a machine gun...
