    Black screen L4D2

    64 bit OS Windows 7.
    ATI radeon 4200
    plenty of RAM and GB
    HP AMD Athlon II X4 640 Processor 3 GHz


    canirunit.com said i could run it wickedly good. so i dont know whats wrong.


    Ive installed drivers, reinstalled, and changed resolution a billion times.

    CanIRunIt is inaccurate, but that isn't your problem I don't think.

    Have you tried steps 1 and 3 of this?

    How about this? How to get it in windowed mode.

    Indeed. I tried everything you just posted. I have no idea what is wrong. Also, I don't know what you meant by doing the windowed thing. I don't see where I can put "-windowed"

    Right click L4D2 in the Steam games list, click "Properties", then "Set Launch Options" and type "-windowed".
    I'm an idiot and I can't follow directions. So now I'm also banned.
