Could you make a local server in l4d1? just like you did in l4d2? Because i keep lagging in Asia Countries, singapore.

I wondered why the US always have the host and we dont?

So im suggesting that you do a local server. I will appreciate and feel happy! if u did this. My platform is on Xbox 360 ok Thank You

We're not Valve, we can't make new servers for you. But I'm pretty sure you can host your own using the "Local game" on the game settings when in a lobby.

For L4D1, there is no option to force a local server. Instead, you simply spam the A button when you start the game, eventually it will give up on looking for a dedicated server and give you a local one.

You know your using a local server when it gives a count down in the lobby before the game starts.

The Xbox version of L4D is so nerfed that it actually doesn't have that option. You have to do as Hillbilly says to get a local server. Thankfully Valve had some sense and included local server/team versus as selectable options in the Xbox version of L4D2.

A word of warning though; smashing the A button repeatedly does work, but sometimes causes the Xbox to freeze up.
