No Gore In Demo? Please help. (SOLVED)

Um, mine isn't on right now, but from memory...

Press 'Guide' button on pad.
Go to the furthest right 'blade' of the menu.
Select 'console settings'.
Then I think it's 'locale'.

I've also been told that there should be a sticker on the bottom of your 360 that shows what region it is. Region 1 is the US if memory serves correctly.

As for SETTING the region... You might need a chipped 360 to actually change it.

Ok, I just migrated my region to South Africa [English] .. Hopefully that helps lol

Oh my gawwd , huge problem , now I can't download L4D2 .. Apparently South Africa doesn't have L4D2's demo in their marketplace, & I can't change the region until 10/4/2012 D:< .. that sucks!

oh my... that is indeed a problem. I would call Microsoft on that one. I'm not sure if there's a back door that will let you change your region again or not. But if you can, your best bet is going to be through MS.

What you wanted was to make sure your region was US and not germany or australia or something. Not changing it to south africa.

I just found that you can't change your locale if family settings are on... Check that.

And locale is not the same as region. But I don't know which of the two would determine the censorship of l4d2.

Ok good news! I have 2 xbl accounts (luckily) & all I did was switch to the other account (the one that I didn't change the region on). My region on this account is US [Thank God]. So I'm downloading L4D2 Demo on here (I checked my locale & it's on US). So I'll post what happens next!

Ok well, I've switched accounts, made sure I was in the correct region [US], made sure the bottom of my xbox had a sticker that said it was region 1, but still no gore in the demo.. I'm starting to think that the demo is 100% censored! I'll buy the game, nonetheless & I doubt the full game from gamestop will be censored.. Still open to suggestions on how to fix the problem in the demo, though!

Strange! Are you sure you're not on a family setting or anything?
Only other thing I can think of is setting up a new profile on your xbox and making sure you're listed as over 18 and in the US, and then try re-downloading the demo one last time from the marketplace...
