Thread: No Gore In Demo? Please help. (SOLVED)

Hey guys, I've done a lot of research on this via google & haven't found anything. Maybe you guys can help me out - so I download the L4D2 Demo for my Xbox360 because I want to buy L4D 2, but just wanted to test it out first, but there's no limbs flying off when I shoot a zombie with a shotgun, & no gore when I smack a zombie with a machete. I live in Washington [US], but I heard about Australia banning the gore & L4D2 re-doing their gore system. I really want to buy this game, but I just need to know if there will be gore in it. ( My Zombie Killinq Experience Wouldn't Be The Same Without Gore )

I'm pretty sure the gore was there when I tried the demo on my 360...

You can try looking in the options menu (can't remember exactly where right now...) and there's a setting for 'gore - on/off' - check that's set to on!

Yes, if you buy the game, it has tons of gore. It's only the Australian version that's censored. I think the German version has a couple of different weapons - you may find them if you happen to play with a German host sometimes.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Yes, I made sure that the Gore setting was on high :\ .. or is that setting different than the actual "Gore Setting" ?

Well, that's strange... Nope, there's only one setting.

Do the bodies disappear before they hit the ground?

Only other thing I can think of is checking your xbox region setting, making sure it's set to the US? Maybe re-downloading the demo may help? Other than that, I'm stumped!

Yeah, the bodies disappear when/right before they hit the ground! But I'll check my region. It sucks lol because the game just isn't the same without the realism of zombie parts

Well, that's definitely the censored version as far as I know then!

Alright, so how do I check/change my region? lol I sound like a complete noob right now. I just went on my xbox & couldn't find where to change/check it.
