04-16-08, 11:18 AM #1Challenge Yourself
Now I'm not going to make this into a whining complaining post, that's why I called it "Challenge Yourself" not "Stop being a little bitch"
I would strongly suggest people to give themselves a little challenge in the way they play. I'm not talking about going for the objectives instead of camping. The admins do a good job of taking care of that. What I am talking about is kit selection, and the way you use it.
Lately I have been switching up my kits. I got back my old G36C and put away the old M16A4 red dot. I grabbed a machine gun and put on stopping/penetration, instead of my usual perk setup ( double tap and steady aim on half my kits)
One thing I have noticed recently is the way other people are starting to use kits. A few people are trying new guns here and there. A lot of people on the server lately, even regulars have been using some pretty lame kits, so I think its time to mix it up a little.
Plenty of people are great players without pulling out their grenade launcher as soon as they spawn (I have seen a few regs on killcam/spec doing just this) and the game is still playable without it. I have seen a number of people with the P90, juggernaut, last stand and 3x nades. It seems like those people are just trying to do whatever it takes to get a little more time to get that extra kill.
So do even though everything is technically balanced, just try something new for once. You may find a new playing style, entirely your own instead of one more player who's "normal" kit is everyone elses "gay" kit.
Oh, and I almost forgot, stop being a little bitch.

Re: Challenge Yourself
I think there are a couple of those people out there, but on the whole every time I've had to pick up an enemy's weapon its usually something different each time. And watching my deaths on the kill cam shows the same. I get killed by just about every weapon in the game over the course of a match or two.
Granted I have my pet peeves, like how the hell does the martyrdom grenade denotate so fast? And how come everyone manages to catch me in the spray whenever they are targeting my teammate? :P
On the whole though I'm pretty happy with the status of our player's weapon choices. The noob tube thing doesn't bother me as much as other people. I completely suck at using it so if you can kill someone with it then that's about the same as using another gun in my book.

Re: Challenge Yourself
i think alot of people try all kinds of kits. sometimes they must revert back to their bread and butter because they dont like to lose. we wont have to worry about the frag nades and tubers so much when FF goes on. maybe this will force some people to change their kits, because those kinds of kits wont be as effective. ive never tried juggernaut, does it even help on HC?

Re: Challenge Yourself
I think this is a call to everyone to devise the strangest/most useless kit imaginable.
I"m confused as to what I should be doing
Skorpian with ASOG sight
Winchester1200 with iron sights
Bomb Squad
Overkill
Last Stand
I wish I was a sniper but I cant afford the gun
M16 with iron sights
C4
Double Tap
Iron Lungs
I don't know, anyone have any better ideas?

Re: Challenge Yourself
I already got my red on my:
m14
all snipers cept m21 (on blue)
g3
I do admit that after a while of getting slammed or being extremely challenged against the automatics out there when im using a semi or bolt, the toob is a quick way to relieve stress
your right though, its growing out of hand HOWEVER, after the implementation of ff i guarantee you that the usage of no aim kits will drop tremendously

It's about as twinky as I am able to stomach but I do like it a bunch.
And I actually used it quite a bit in the FF match. You just have to be really careful what you shoot and where your teammates are.

Re: Challenge Yourself
i cant wait to finish off my last 4 guns so i can start using my old kits. The AK74u is going quickly but I really hate the g36, its taking me forever to finish out its headshots.
Can anyone who enjoys the g36c recommend a good setup for it?
right now I am using it with:
red dot
3x nades
uav jam
steady aim
