Hey guys I really enjoy playing on the servers, what's another good game to get with TTP goodness? I just don't like it when the servers are empty, might as well get another one

Hi ghettoaz! Surprised this is your first post! Welcome though and glad to have you! I hope you stick around you are a good teamplayer. Be sure to get any friends you have in COD4 to register on our forums and join our server (that will help with the sparse numbers). Stick around and you will soon find out that TTP is unlike any other gaming community out there!

TF2, BF2. PR a BF2 mod runs late into the night. The BF2 series seems to have the latest hour of death every day. 2142 is good too. Well any TTP hosted game rocks. Can't really go wrong.

Yea i myself want to get BF2 for two reasons...
1. It sounds like a fun game (hell i wouldn't mind bombing a few people with a jet,or actually piloting a chopper, unlike in COD4 were i get to watch it fly around in circles like crack addicted Penguin).
2.Every time i go on the forums i see the serve is always filled(night & day).

Got to get out of a couple of debts then ill save enough money for it.

By the way how much does it cost?Expansions...?Does TTP host the expansions? If you guys could tell me would love to know.

There's one expansion, Special Forces, and two mappacks, Euro Force and Armored Fury. SF is a must because it gives you two weapon unlocks per rank, as well as access to the second level of unlocks. EF and AF maps aren't on the standard TTP rotation, just because not very many people have them. In any case, there's an edition of BF2 with Vanilla and SF included, which is pretty cheap now ($30, I think?). There's also a complete edition DVD with everything that's around $40.

get 2142 it kicks ass. and yet cod4...

the future will welcome you. 2142 has the 2nd most active forums aside from off the servers. It is based on the future and has awesomely destructive vehicles and weapons which require teamwork to take down and move on.

Yea but i looked at 2142 several times,and it appears to just be a copy of BF2 with everything looking more.......... futuristic?
Besides i enjoy modern warfare allot more overall. 2142 just sounds like a very fancy expansion. Correct me if I'm wrong but that is what i read/heard. Would like to know more opinions from you guys.

welcome. I also play Tf2 and 2142...both are great games and completely different from each other.

2142 is a large warfare game that is split between infantry and vehicles (land and air). It has game modes that are simialr to capture the flag where first team to kill ~300 people wins and another mode called titan that is about capturing and holding missle silos that take down shields of a a huge ship. Then you can continue to hold the silos or board the titan try destroying it that way. But the objective in that one is to take down enemy titan first. Kills do not matter.

It is a commander and squad based game with maps that are huge compared to cod4. You can not talk to your whole, only your squad mates. Most of the maps you need a vehicle to get to the point. Soldiers rank up earning better weapons as they play.

Futuristic, ea thinks so...but not really. The most futuristic thing is a hoover tank, everything shoots bullets, has engines...big builky things...it would be like if the ice age hit tomorrow and this is what we had to fight with.

TF2 is a cartoony looking game (sry someone will correct me on the style name). It is open mic to your whole team, like in COD4...the maps sizes are comparable. There are capture the POint maps and ctf maps. Capture point is a lot like HQ, only the the points do not move. There are a different number of points depending on the map and some of the maps you are just playing defense while the other team attacks and sometimes it is a 50/50 run for the middle point and the go from there. CTF is CTF. Not a lot of ctf and instead of a flag you are going for a breifcase. Details.

The classes in this game are great. They are started to do a ranking system where you get cooler toys for doing certains achievements (think challenges in cod4). Right now the medic is the only one set up that way but the others are coming shortly.

They play style is very different between the games though. I would suggest looking at some you tube videos to get a loot at them.
