Hello there ArmA players, this is Blah64 speaking, and I just bought ArmA Gold.

I usually play 2142, but noticed how amazing this games looks from the forums, so I went out and bought it.
I'll be setting it up and figuring it out tonight, I'll wait to play with y'all on a day when the server is populated.

Also, what exactly did I get from buying the 'Gold' Version. What is included in the 'Queen's Gambit' expansion? Was it worth my money?

As far as I know, Queen's gambit adds a few new maps and weapons, but it isn't anything revolutionary. It's good to see more TTP regs getting the game, though, we should definitely organize an ArmA night sometime soon.

Yeah, it really is hard to pick the game up by yourself, getting some regs on would really help.

Yeah, that game is crazy fun, even if a big part of it is learning how to hide from the Stryker columns, and the hordes of people who kill you from a kilometer away with two shots

. Good playing with you guys, and Reiskis, get your friend to register on the forums. He's a damn sight better than we are at the game, we could use the help.

I too have been interested in this one for a while and just haven't pulled the trigger on it.

This game seems perfect for a sniper mission. With huge draw distances, and then actually being able to hide in the grass from people thousands of meters away is nice.

Ohh, you have no idea... sniping really takes practice in this game, because of the realistic bullet physics. A rifle round starts moving slightly upward and then arcs down, pretty much like in real life. There's also delay due to travel time. In other words, practice is a good thing.
