    Should we add Pipeline with a new mode?

    The other day we desided to change things up a bit with Pipeline and we did Dom instead of S&D. It was a great round, full of communication and team play. I think it should be added to the rotaion. Please vote.

    Aren't there official posts for map changes in the rotation? That have already voted on these maps and will probably vote again in the future?

    hmmm, I don't see a sticky. I'll have to give it a try sometime. It would have to be pretty good, because pipeline is a staple of our rotation. However, I do seem to recall having fun last time I did it. I also think that as a map, pipeline has a lot of potential that doesn't get appreciated in Snd.

    great communication? not likely. i say this because i stopped playing that round to spec the 2-3 people that were constantly camping a single spot when your team only had 1.

    personally, i thought that DOM on pipeline was shit. i think it's too small for a full server to play it. that being said, it would become a run around nade/tube fest. talking with another, i learned that it was on DOM when the server first started up, and was swapped for SnD, which is the only mode i can see working. take away any explosion spamming at the beginning of the rounds, and it's an awesome SnD map. but we manage to avoid summon's nades most of the time

    It's fun with say a 5v5, but more people than that crowds the map.

    Those two posts pretty much sums it up. Pipelines a pure SnD map. The scenery, various paths, even the general feel of the map, all scream SnD and careful play. I say a very strong NO to it being changed to Dom.

    I think pipeline has the best team balance for SnD of all the maps. It can be defended or attacked at a or b site and with the underground leaves room to sneak around to surprise your enemy more. I say keep it SnD all the way.

    EXACTLY..it originally was in rotation as Dom, and it sucked...it became another Bloc map...people camped everywhere, and just nade spammed, tubed, and sniped the whole thing. I actually think that was around the time BigDog came in and saw the shit it was. Dom is complete crap for Pipeline. Maybe every now and then "when the mature gamers are on", a vote to temp change the type of map to DOM would suffice, but not an overall change from S&D to DOM.

    I feel this approach is the wisest so far. If those present have the wherewithal to stick a vote in the first place, they're probably good enough dudes not to make the game a tubefest. I personally had fun in that match DonVito's talking about, but the map clearly wasn't designed with Dom in mind.

    pipeline is my favorite SnD map, I would rather explore the other ones and find other modes.
