    Interesting tactics

Was just pubbing a versus game. On the final level of No Mercy... Great places to hide, limit the mobs ability to get to you. Go under the ramp/stairs heading to the helipad. They can only come at you from one direction. Also when there's a tank sometimes you can get far enough back that the tank can't touch you.

Hmmm interesting. I also found that running to the barn next to the house in the finale of Blood Harvest is a better spot. Two entrances/exits to cover and you can easily get out if there is a tank coming. You can also temporarily bring the group back in the house real quick to grab some more ammo and any lingering health packs.

Yeah, the barn on Blood Harvest is interesting. The specials can't get up to the second level (except the tank) without getting a nice clean headshot. The tank can come up through the hole in the roof, but there's plenty of places you can bail out and get away.

Some guy came in and told us to come in there saying "It was a neat glitch I found". Then the admin told him to get out, and if a tank can't hit you in there then it sounds like one to me. Not sure though.

I don't think it's a glitch... I think it's utilizing the terrain to your advantage. You want to funnel the enemy to you where you can cut them down easily. The ramp does just that. The tank can get at you, just not as easily.

I'm kinda half and half towards 'interesting spots' - some I don't mind, some I feel are semi-exploits.

For instance, at the elevator in level 4 of No Mercy, there's a cupboard right next to the elevator. If you have two people crouched in front meleeing and two at the back shooting, it's almost impossible for the zombies to get you, whether they boom you or not. Is it an exploit? /shrug.

Same with the 'under the ramp' trick on the final level.. it's a bit cheap imo, but /shrug.

Both the ramp and the tiny closet need to be fixed in versus mode. I have used them both and feel dirty. It takes away from the game.

Well, if you're not playing VS against a tank, and you're not playing on Dead Air or No Mercy, try to get the tank to follow you through a window. Often times the tank will get stuck trying to go through the window. He won't move or attack for a couple seconds - 10 seconds average - allowing you to lay into him without fear of him attacking you. Sometimes he'll go through the window without stopping and other times he'll avoid the window.

If you're talking about the Red barn off to the right of the front of the house (if you're looking from inside the house out to the field you come from), then the top floor actually has ammunition and 3 entrances. It is pretty well defensible, as the tank can sometimes get stuck in the hole in the barn's roof.

I did see that, and it does seem effective, though I am sure there are ways to counter it.  Making your boomer explode near them might cause a fortuitous stagger that'll allow your Hunters to go in through the one opening.

Seen that one too.. in that situation, it's all about the Boomer.. puke the two and take advantage of the blindness.. also, pre injure the Boomer so that he'll explode close enough to the front survivors (or even better all 4) to make them get boomed and also stagger (when they push, it does damage.. so just like punching a hunter to death, one can punch a boomer to death.. pre injuring him will make it so their first punch pops him). Hunters pounce while they stagger, causing them to stagger further. Try to pull one out with a smoker while they stagger and are blind.

    Not easy, but not impossible.

I think that wouldn't work... The closet is way too easy to defend. I wouldn't think THESE are exploits. Why would they have a little room right there in the first place....?

    Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"
