They're for XBox 360, anyway.

This is something ...bigdog... is trying out; the forum moderators are assessing the overall impact and response, so it may get changed up with time. Hopefully it won't get too obtrusive or "spammy".

You can; the free maps are part of the 1.6 patch. If and when you get the game, you'll have to update to the latest patch (1.6) to play on TTP, anyway.
