Facepalm Moments

You know the type. This was brought back to my attention after a pub game I played a few minutes ago. Such as constantly saying "They're rushing hospital. Spawn in FRONT of them, not behind." and being the only person actually hitting them because you're spawning in front, rather than chasing them.

Then, oh God, more like tear-your-hair-out-stupidity moments:

On Rooftop Finale, we have:

1. Someone is incapped on the ground. What do we do now? Do we stop everything to help him up? No, of course not! We HIT THE RADIO. WE SUMMON THE HORDE.

Luckily, we got past that, albeit barely. We COULD have made it, but for one last fuck-up:

2. (Probably the same dumbass who hit the radio) Louis, in his infinite wisdom, decides to run across the map, alone, to molotov the tank. Predictable results occur. The tank decides to be stupid though, and hits him to death, then runs down the middle into the minigun. But then we get killed anyway because the guy I gave the last medikit too get smoked and decides to stand in the middle of the open while he gets horded instead of pushing through them to get upstairs.

It's games like this that make even the worst TTP player (hypothetical person) shine as if he was Left 4 Dead Jesus. Still, it was close. We only lost by about 30 points, since they had as many fuck-ups as us, but not as blatantly stupid.

I have a lot of those... Leaping off the roof as survivors are climbing up in the Finale of No Mercy is something I sometimes do, pretty poor tank as well. I always need to see too, I simply can't resist peeking around that corner with the blubbering or hissing sounds coming from it.

I try to play this game like I play the Battlefield games, always looking for a mini map that isn't there, trying to hit shift to sprint.

I'm just one long drawn out facepalm moment, but the game really is addicting.

"Ok, were going to have 3 hunters and a smoker lets get set up to kill them."
Hunter spawns... Hunter dies.... Facepalm.

I FINALLY saw the 3 hunters and a smoker techique work! ...unfortunately it worked against my team....

everytime i play l4d its a facepalm moment. Always when im playing infected and when im playing survivor and a boomer walks up to me I panic and try to push then shoot, but i end up not pushing him far enough or pushing him into my other 3 teammates

I invite Coj to my games because I know I'll have less palm marks on my face playing with him than I will others I play L4D with :P

Speaking of facepalm moments.. what was it.. me, Frag, Lefty and Homer vs the EvO L4D team (Kraker, S3g, Kitty and Silas).. round 1 of No Mercy.. me and another hunter (was that you, Frag, or someone else?) went to get high pounces on Kraker's team as they ran by the alarmed car, darting for the Subway entrance.. Both me and the other hunter, likely aiming for the same person, landed on the street-lamp above the intended target (just to the right of the subway entrance), instead of the intended target. Both of us died after weak secondary pounces.

When you play on my team and were on infected you can always hear me say shit like "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME" or "oops... not who I was aiming for"
