how come I can't link my AA2 account to my AA3 account in-game?

I suppose that feature is down?

and I doubt any of my honor or training from the previous AA's carries over?

How else am I supposed to represent my clan in game? It's not like I chose the l33t high-ascii characters like a lot of source clans use. It's a valid character to use in the game (and AA3 is MUCH stricter on what characters you can/can't use). To me it seems this is a problem with SMF not escaping the brackets than me using 'silly characters' in my game name.

that's true. the [ ]'s are what SMF recognizes for the url and img and other tags. and you're messing it up.

so like I said....it's your fault for using all ninja crazy brackets and living dangerous.

no. it's bbcode. that's how it works. just like if you were to put < >'s in your name, and it would mess with html.

I understand WHY it's happening. But one could argue that these particular fields don't need bbcode in them. There should also be a way to escape out the characters and have them appear. In HTML you can use &lt; and &gt; to get the characters.
