VOIP costs money?

We pre-ordered a AA3 server and we had the understanding that VOIP was a feature of the game and would be included. Now our server provider is trying to charge us more for VOIP.

Is it not a feature of the game..they are saying TS3 is a add-on to the game and are trying to charge for it separately.

Anyone else that pre-ordered running into this?

We know it works. Our server provider is saying they disabled it and will enable it as an add on feature for more money per month than they quoted.

I am saying... how can they get by with selling an AA3 server and then disable parts of the game so they can charge more to get all the features. Would like to know how people from america's army feel about server providers doing this?

Any other server owners running into this?

My favorite bit is where the server provider comes in and tries to explain defend themselves but can't manage to type in complete sentences.

Just go read the whole thing.... and be glad that here at TTP we don't put up with hole-in-the-wall server providers like DarkForge Gaming.

If they both run off the same executable with no modification to that default core files linked to that executable then that is NOT an addon. It is a FEATURE.

Also, he is VERY unprofessional in his professional responses. I found myself correcting his grammar as I was reading. Course, I do that a lot already. :P

I mean, seriously, if they are going to take that stance then maps and guns should be regarded as add-ons as well and should be charged extra for as well.

AA3 has built in TS3. Which is FREE, BTW. But, we're going to disable it, and then charge you to re-enable it.
