Interest in Competitive L4D?

I've been reading up on competitive L4D and watching videos and I think it might be something I could get into... unlike TF2. Problem is, I don't even know many people here at TTP that play L4D since L4D's silly server system doesn't work like other games' do.

Do we have any other people that'd be interested in making a team for at least casual scrimming? Versus has been really fun so far, and I think it's something I could get into... if I could find some people to play with reliably. Any takers?

Competitive L4D seems a bit lame to me. Since a lot of the game itself is random in kits, pipes, mollies, etc.

Except all of those variables are consistent across rounds, so while placement isn't identical between individual games, both teams will have an equal chance. If one team gets a tank right out of the gate, so will the other team. I don't really see how the relative randomnness of pickup placement impacts the gameplay negatively.

The only major issue I have with versus right now is the prevalence of medkits. I'd much rather medkits be extremely rare and pills more common.

I'm just trying to find people to fucking play with. Had all these people bugging the shit out of me to come play with them like three weeks ago and now they're nowhere to be found. Maybe I should've saved my $30...

if you wait 4 more weeks ill be back to play with you

right now everyone seems to be over at the AA3 side of things, when that dies down a bit they'll be more people around

Virtually everyday there is a game that starts up around 9pm central.

That seems to be the time the best l4d players on TTP come out to play.
