OFP2??

IS this the same as OFP2 ?

Or is it close enough ?

Me and a friend of mine beat OFP1 we LOVED the game, we made models, and new guns after that, and released them...if this game is the same or similar I may have to check it out.

I have never played OFP1 with a lot of people, it would be sweet to have like 30+ people in a server.

Sometimes we would just do odd stuff, for the hell of it, Like have him fly around in an apache and me try to snipe him out of the cockpit (wich can be done, i did it) and that alone, made it worth it...the possibilities were endless.

So just trying to find out if this is as good / better than OFP

No.

The Operation Flashpoint name belongs to another studio now, and OFP games past the original are not made by the same people who made the original OFP. ArmA was the original OFP teams response to the name being taken from them.

That makes ArmA really OFP 2, and ArmA 2 is OFP 3.

If you want realism, go for ArmA 2.

If you want fast paced and better graphics, BF2 style game play, go for OFP2.

Exactly.

ArmA 1 and 2 should have been OFP2 and 3. But now OFP has turned into some arcadey crap.

Yup, dragon rising is supposed to use a different engine even from what I've been hearing, whereas Arma 2 uses a much improved engine from OFP and Arma 1.

Get Arma 2, hell I think that even some of the scripts/models and such from OFP work with Arma 2.

Yep, you can use all scripts/models from OFP/ArmA 1 in ArmA 2.

I will have t odig out my old models, I made quite a few guns for the game.

THey were just models though, no different damage or anything, I just like making shiny stuff
