It's not a glitch, its a version difference. Don, when we get an auto-download update from steam, the server also has to be updated. If the server hasn't been updated you will not be able to get on it if you HAVE been updated. Just as if the server HAS been and you HAVEN'T been, you cannot join it.

No, it's a glitch, it's happened to me SEVERAL times before the patch.

The first time it happened, NONE of the console commands worked.

I tried ~disconnect ~exit ~open IP (several different IP's mind you) and none worked.

-> System restart -> omfg they all worked

It's a glitch.

Very well.. that's all fine.. however, the server is JUST now restarting after being patched, Don's game patch and subsequent post were some time ago, WELL before the server was updated with the patch. How successful do you think he would be joining an older-version server with a newer version client?
